After looking at some great black and white photographs I think its time to add some color to these post.
I think a very good photographer must have the ability to handle color. When you start taking photographs you'll soon realize that there is a huge contrast between how our eyes see and what that lens captures. This is especially true with color... hardcore photo studies involve courses devoted to temperature scales, kelvins, theory...etc... thats when you start to realize there is a science to photography.
Sophie Delaporte's images are a very good example of color photography. She has a painter's eye... The photos are vivid and striking while some are mute and sensitive. To have a keen sense of color as she does you must look at a scene in a totally different way.
Delaporte has the ability to construct an image around the colors of the fashion. We have to appreciate the time and careful planning that her and her team puts into a photograph. Instead of just simply putting a model infront of a scene or colored backgrounds Delaporte builds a painting.
